Participatory
A Just Transition emphasizes the importance of involving all stakeholders in the
decision-making process. This includes workers, employers, communities, governments, and other
relevant parties. The participatory planning will ensure diverse voices of all affected worker groups. This
participatory approach helps to build consensus and foster a sense of ownership and commitment to
the transition.

Decent Work
Ensuring Decent work for all created new jobs in the green economy, meaning that it will
provide fair wages, safe working conditions, and job security. Additionally, workers' rights and ensuring
that labor standards are upheld, including the right to organize and bargain collectively. It will create
stable and long-term employment opportunities that contribute to both economic sustainability and
environmental protection.

Upskilling and Reskilling
Vocational training programs to equip workers with the skills needed for
emerging industries in the green economy. In addition, promoting continuous learning opportunities to
help workers adapt to changing job markets and technologies. Providing career counseling, job
placement services, and other supports to help workers transition into new roles.

Democratic Rights
Ensuring Freedom of Association that workers can freely join unions and participate
in collective bargaining processes. Facilitating workers’ voice and communities’ active participation in
governance structures and decision-making processes related to the transition. Followingly, maintaining
open and accountable governance practices to ensure trust and fair representation of all stakeholders.

Social Protection
The Safety Nets program will provide unemployment benefits, health care, and
pensions to support workers and communities during the transition. It will ensure income support,
offers financial assistance to those who lose their jobs or face economic hardship as a result of the
transition. Inclusive policies will ensure that social protection measures will inclusive and accessible to
all, particularly the most vulnerable and marginalized groups.
